Current Research

Memory T cells are largely classified into central and effector memory T cells, based on their migratory habits. It is not known how the lineage commitment to these distinct memory subsets occurs. My current research is focusing on the role of Kruppel-like factor (KLF) 2 in memory T cells, a transcription factor which regulates the expression of trafficking molecules in thymocytes and naïve T cells.
As an additional project, I am also studying about the role of MHC class I for CD8 T cell homeostasis.
